Hi there!
Welcome back to this special space where we get to connect for a few moments before moving on with the rest of our day.
I have been knee-deep in the information gathering process for writing a book, and I have even designed a rough temporary cover for it so that I have something to look at and dream about as I begin the book writing process in January.
I am SO passionate about inspiring and empowering you to create your most joyful life, and I hope that my book will do that!
I hope that you feel inspired and empowered when you read these letters each week.
The question for today is-
What are you most passionate about?
What lights you up and turns you on more than anything else in life?
Can you think of a few things that bring you to life and make your life worth living?
Think about some of the best days you've ever had.
What was happening on those days that really touched your heart?
Were you having fun with those closest to you?
Were you enjoying the beauty all around you?
Were you creating something with your hands?
Were you deeply connecting with someone?
Were you at a particular place that you just love?
Were you laughing from the depths of your soul?
Take a minute to think about what was so meaningful about those days.
If you can, write down a few things that were meaningful to you.
This is the beginning of your passion list.
Your passion list contains experiences/activities that fill your life with joy more than any other activities.
What things need to happen to make today one of the best days of your life?
If you have a chance to write 3-5 things down really quickly, you can easily see what your priorities are and what you value most in life.
Then when you are faced with any decision, you can make a choice based on whether it lines up with your passions or not.
Let's say you have a choice to either get something done on your to-do list today or to sit and play games with your significant other or children.
Which do you value most- getting that thing done/cleaning the house or connecting with those that you deeply care about?
You have to decide for you.
Maybe having a clean space is very important to you in order for you to be able to relax and enjoy the company of your favorite people.
How can you include your favorite people in the cleaning process so that you can connect AND get something done on your to-do list?
You don't always have to choose either/or.
I'm all about choosing both.
There will always be things to do, and you get to decide which things are most important to you.
Which things make your life worth living?
What makes it worth it for you to get out of bed in the morning?
Whatever you value most, put that at the top of your passion list.
Make time for it every single day if you can.
Make time for your top 5 passions every day (or every week) if you can.
You've heard me say this many times, and I'm going to keep saying it-
the purpose of life is JOY so always choose those things that bring you joy.
The purpose of life is not to check things off your list, because that list is always growing and it's never done.
Feeling productive is nice, but are the things you're doing worth getting out of bed for?
The purpose of life is to do those things that light you up and bring out the best in you.
I encourage you to make time for those things this week.
Remember where your priorities lie.
Keep on shining, my sweet friend, and I will meet with you again on Friday!
Much love to you,
Amber
