the power of presence

April 12, 2024

Hello, sweet friend! 🌷

What do you hear in your surroundings right now?

What sensations do you feel in or around your body?

What do you see?

What can you taste?

What do you smell?

Experiencing life through your five senses is a fun way to untangle yourself from the parade of thoughts and emotions rushing through your mind and body in any given moment so that you can experience the power of presence. 🌟

Your life is happening right now- not in the past or the future.

When you attach to your thoughts about the past or the future by worrying about what's going to happen or regretting what did happen, you create unnecessary suffering for yourself, because you're not being present with what is.

If you want to live your most joyful life, being present in the moment is the most powerful way to do that.

Right now, what thoughts are scrolling through your mind?

How are they making you feel?

Whenever you step back and become the observer of your thoughts and feelings (rather than getting wrapped up in them), you experience the power of presence.

Our thoughts and feelings are like a movie that sucks us in, and we forget that we are not the movie.

We can remove ourselves anytime we want and gently observe what's going on in our minds and bodies.

I don't know about you, but I want to be more present with the people I love and the beauty that's all around me.

If you do too, I invite you to notice your thoughts and feelings without attaching to them and to tune into your five senses that allow you to fully experience the present moment.

Just setting the intention to be more present will open your awareness to the voice in your head that isn't you.

The more you separate yourself from this voice by listening to it rather than becoming it, the happier you will be.

I love to start my day with meditation since it sweeps my mind clean first thing in the morning (if you're anything like me, that voice in your head starts yammering away as soon as you open your eyes in the morning 😊).

If you already have a meditation practice that you love, I encourage you to make it a priority every morning.

If you're looking for a fun meditation practice, I highly recommend Emily Fletcher's M Word Technique that she introduces in the YouTube video below.

Her technique helps you tune into your breath and your five senses before guiding you through effortless silence, gratitude, and love bombing the entire Universe.

It's really fun and energizing!

Being still through the process of meditation allows you to experience a feeling of oneness and connectedness to everyone in the entire world while also hooking you up to the power of presence.

The more present you are, the more you'll realize that you don't have any problems.

Problems need time to develop, and if you are truly present in your life, there is no past or future.

There are only situations to be experienced and dealt with in the moment.

There's only Now.

All of the resources that you need are given to you in the exact moment that you need them.

You don't have to struggle or suffer any longer since you have the power of presence available to you in every moment.

I invite you to be really intentional about experiencing life deeply through your five senses today while being aware of whatever thoughts arise.

Let those thoughts move right along.

When you choose to engage the power of presence in your life, you will experience an overwhelming sense of love, joy, and peace. 💜

It feels so good!

Sending so much love to you,
