Yay! It's Friday! I hope you enjoy this photo of one of our geraniums as we talk about the joy in the journey today. 😀

Yesterday I was watching another YouTube training by Kathleen Cameron called Chosen, and in the video below, she talks about how it's wonderful to have dreams and goals and to move towards those things.

However, we often get so caught up trying to reach our destination (the new car, the new house, the pile of money, the promotion at work, retirement, our next vacation, etc.) that we forget to enjoy the journey along the way.

Most of your life is spent in the journey.

Once you reach one destination, you're ready to start moving towards the next and the next.

That's a good thing, because that's what keeps life moving to you and through you.

But since you spend most of your days in the journey on the way to a destination, it's helpful to think about what kind of journey you'd like to have.

Do you want it to be filled with hustle, stress, worry, and fear that you'll never reach your destination?

Or, do you want to take time to find the joy in the journey?

Right now I am in the third round of editing my book, and I have days that I put a lot of pressure on myself to meet certain deadlines or to do more, more, more to get it published already.

However, the underlying themes of my book are love, joy, fun, and appreciation, and if I don't make time for those things during this journey, my book is not going to have the impact that I want it to have.

I would like my journey to all of my destinations to be filled with ease, flow, fun, freedom, peace, love, joy, beauty, and appreciation.

What kind of journey would you like to have on your way to your next big dream or goal?

If you pause to find the joy in the journey, you'll have so much more fun, and you'll be much happier when you arrive at your destination.

Instead of being laser focused on your goals all the time, would it be fun to expand your awareness and enjoy all of the love, joy, and beauty that already exists in your life right now?

I've really enjoyed talking with you today, and we'll meet here again in a few days.

Much love to you,

Amber
