Hi there! ๐Ÿ’œ

What are you most thankful for in your life right now?

I am most thankful that I've finally come to understand where love actually comes from- from ME.

I am the source of love.

I used to go searching, performing, and sacrificing for love when it was in me all along.

Other people tried to love me (Chad tried really, really hard), but until I loved me, I couldn't fully accept love from others.

I was like a bottomless pit that never felt full or satisfied.

If you feel this way, you must know that you are the source of your own love.

Love from others can never fully satisfy you.

The answer to your love problem (or to any problem in your life) is self-love.

I know that self-love can feel like such an airy-fairy concept.

How can you achieve self-love when you don't really know what it is or how to do it?

Loving yourself is so much simpler than you might think.

In this moment, are you allowing yourself to be happy?

Are you choosing thoughts that feel good when you think them?

Are you making choices that feel exciting to you?

Are you allowing yourself to feel pleasure?

Are you speaking to yourself with love, compassion, and understanding?

Anytime you allow yourself to be happy in the moment by...

  • appreciating what's in front of you
  • soothing yourself with kind words when you're going through something difficult
  • choosing to focus on thoughts that are loving and peaceful
  • melting into the pleasure of the moment
  • letting go of trying to fix other people's problems for them
  • making choices that bring you joy are loving yourself.

You don't have to treat yourself to an expensive spa day or spend tons of money on yourself in order to love you.

Think about how a loving parent treats their child- with loving, gentle words, with lots of affection, and with fun adventures together.

Be that loving parent to yourself.

Nurture yourself in the ways that you wish your parents would have nurtured you.

Be kind and gentle with yourself.

No tough love here- only compassion, tenderness, gentleness, and encouragement.

Whatever you're going through, talk to yourself like you're a small child who's hurting.

If you're loving your life right now, allow yourself to melt into all of the delicious experiences in your life and keep choosing in the direction of your greatest happiness.

You don't have to know how to love yourself unconditionally right now.

You don't even have to be very good at any of the self-loving ways that I just talked about.

You can simply pick one thing that you're going to do today to love yourself just a little bit more.

Allow a little bit more happiness in. ๐ŸŒธ

Then you can choose to love yourself a little bit more tomorrow.

Before you know it, your cup will feel full to overflowing, and you'll have so much extra love and happiness to share with the people in your life. โค๏ธ

Will you choose to appreciate the people and things in your life a little bit more today?

Will you take time to enjoy your food a little bit more throughout the day?

Will you give yourself a bath later today?

Will you speak gently to yourself throughout the day?

Will you make at least one choice in the direction of fun and joy today?

Will you flip one negative thought to a thought that feels better today?

Will you give up trying to save someone else today and just imagine them thriving and happy so that you can thrive and be happy?

All of this is self-love.

Choosing happiness for yourself is self-love.

The more you love you, the more you can spread love to everyone in your world.

So much love to you from the overflow of love in my heart,

  • You truly canโ€™t give from an empty cup and what I truly believe is that self love isnโ€™t selfish. I love knowing that I am the source of love too. Love this! Another winner. Thank you Amber!! ๐Ÿ’—

    • Isn’t it great knowing that we are our own source of everything- abundance, love, well-being, and happiness? ๐Ÿ˜€ You are so right! Self-love isn’t selfish at all. It’s the most loving thing we could do for the entire planet. Love you, Miss Shana! โค๏ธ
