Good morning, beautiful human! Big warm hug! 🤗
For today's Money Monday letter, I would love to talk about something that I'm still learning.
I love listening to Dr. Dain Heer because his perspective on life expands my entire world, especially when it comes to the topic of money.
He talks about how money follows joy- not the other way around.
We might think that we need money in order to do the things that will make us happy, but that's simply not true.
Can money provide you with the opportunity to have many fun experiences?
However, can you also be happy simply because you decide to be happy?
There are times I think that having a certain experience will make me happier, and after I spend the money and have the experience, I am disappointed when I'm not any happier than I was at the start.
Truly, the reason we want more money is because we think that more of it will make us happier.
What if we can be happy now and allow money to chase us rather than sacrificing and struggling to earn more and more money that may not make us any happier?
Would you be willing to enjoy life now and create beautiful things and experiences now before more money comes?
What could you do this week that would bring you so much joy?
What choices could you make to be so incredibly happy that money starts chasing you to get in on your joy?
Creating things, appreciating the best parts of your life, and slowing down to savor the little moments are a few ways that you could choose to create happiness now.
I am choosing to take a break from writing letters for the rest of the week so that I can sleep in, do yoga in the mornings with Kaylie, wrap the remaining presents, bake delicious treats, and savor every little bit of this week before Christmas.
What can you do to slow down and make space for more fun?
I love you , I wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas , and I'll meet you here again next week after we've made ourselves really, really happy.
Much love to you,
