Welcome to a new week full of infinite possibilities!
I am SO glad you are here!
I am really excited to talk with you about one of my favorite topics ever- MONEY!
I studied finance and investments in college, and I have thoroughly enjoyed learning everything I can about having money, saving money, spending money, and growing money.
Today I am extending our conversation about appreciation into the subject of money.
So many people believe that having more money means working harder, struggling, and hustling.
I'm not denying that working harder and working longer can earn you more money, but there's a much easier way to allow more money into your life.
You might be surprised to find out that money works very differently than you've been taught.
Having more money isn't about doing more; it's about being more.
It's about being all of who you are and receiving the gifts that life has for you in each moment.
Life wants to give you so much more than you are willing to receive.
It's like life is raining down all of this abundance on us, and we have our frickin' umbrellas out to block the flow.
Having more money means releasing the limiting beliefs that you have around receiving anything.
Let's find out some of the ways that we are blocking instead of receiving:
How often are you willing to receive a compliment without deflecting it or without needing to throw another compliment back (another form of deflecting)?
How often do you block love from yourself or others?
How often do you judge yourself and others (another form of blocking)?
How often do you have a hard time receiving gifts?
How often do you deny yourself and your body pleasure in life?
How many times do you keep quiet about your needs instead of allowing them to be met?
How often do you do what you're supposed to instead of following your joy?
How often are you just going through the motions and not actually being present in your own life?
I don't want you to judge yourself for any of these things that you may do regularly or occasionally.
I simply want you to become more aware of the times that you raise your umbrella.
I have to admit that I am an expert blocker myself.
Instead of making ourselves wrong for our lack of receiving, let's think about how exciting it is that we have so much room for allowing more abundance into our lives.
Together, we are going to dive very deeply into the topic of money over the next several months, and we'll even go on a Money Adventure together!
For now, your mind might already be blown and may be trying to wrap itself around this new concept of receiving that I've just shared with you.
Let's settle our minds for a moment and focus on our tool for today.
Last week I encouraged you to do a Rampage of Appreciation about anything in your life, and today I'd like to ask you to do a Rampage of Appreciation for all of the abundance in your life.
The easiest way to start allowing more of the good stuff into your life (money, love, joy, and chocolate ) is to appreciate all of the abundance that you already have in each area of your life.
Do you have an abundance of love in your relationships (at least in some of them)?
Do you have an abundance of flexibility in your job?
Do you have an abundance of knowledge or wisdom in certain areas?
Do you have an abundance of hobbies or things you love to do?
Do you have an abundance of streaming services?
Do you have an abundance of support from the people in your life?
Do you have an abundance of "toys", books, movies, games, videogames, etc.?
Do you have an abundance of pets?
Do you have an abundance of things that you're really good at?
Do you have an abundance of beauty all around you?
Do you have an abundance of shoes?
This is a really good opportunity to get excited about all of the abundance that you already have!
In your excitement, you might just let the umbrella slip out of your hands a little bit (oops!) to allow more of the abundance that life is flowing to you right now.
The more often you do a Rampage of Appreciation, the less likely you are to stay attached to your umbrella.
I hope this conversation has shifted your perspective around money a tiny bit (or a lot ), and I look forward to meeting you here again soon! ❤️
Much love to you,
