Good morning, sweet friend! 💜
Do you feel the internal changes that come with the changing of seasons?
I don't know about you, but this time of year (when the days are getting shorter and the nights are getting colder) calls me to go more deeply within myself and to decide once again what is most important to me during this season of life.
Do you find yourself craving certain activities and certain comforts during different times of the year?
Each season is a chance to reset and to choose anew what you want to put your time and your energy toward.
Today I want to have a fun conversation with you about the things that are important to you and the things you dream about doing. Have you made a list of the things you want to accomplish over the next 3-5 years (or at least thought about them)?
You may not know everything you want to accomplish- even in the coming year- but it's fun to hold a vision for what your life could look like one year from now, three years from now, five years from now, ten years from now...
Do you have things on your bucket list that you'd like to start moving toward over the next few years? Maybe even the next year?
What dream is your heart calling you toward most powerfully during this season?
Often, we want to do something, but we put off doing anything that would bring us closer to our dream until it's the "right" time. Has there ever been a perfectly right time for anything you've done in your life?
Instead of making a long list of all of the things you want to accomplish over your lifetime (we will dive more deeply into your hopes and dreams in the Being You Adventure), can you think of one thing that's been on your heart and mind lately that you really do desire to move towards in the near future?
Can you write that thing down or type it into your phone really quickly?
Now, do you know the steps that are required to get you from where you are right now to where you want to be in that area?
If so, please write down each little step so that the journey to your desire feels doable. If you don't know the exact steps, can you Google your dream/desire to find out what needs to be done in order to accomplish it?
Once you have all the steps written down or typed, I encourage you to be brave this week and take one baby step toward your desire.
Is the first step a phone call to set an appointment?
Is it doing research online to find someone who can help you on your path?
Is it asking a friend or family member for help towards your dream?
Is it going out and buying supplies for a creative project?
Is it buying a book or an online course to learn more about how to follow your dream?
Whatever the first step is, can you step out of your routine or your comfort zone to get it checked off your list?
I am here cheering you on and encouraging you as you take one baby step and then another towards this thing that will hopefully make your life better.
