Are you starting to feel the excitement building around new things or situations that you're creating in 2023?
On Monday we discussed following the nudges from your inner guidance and taking small steps in the direction of your dreams.
Consistently taking baby steps toward your desires can create massive changes over time.
As you are waiting for these little actions to add up to something big, the most powerful thing you can do to put yourself into the receiving mode is to appreciate where you're at right now.
What people or things in your life were once just a dream?
What can you appreciate about them as you follow your inspired guidance to even more that you are wanting?
I know we've talked about this before, but if you can't find reasons to be happy in your life now, you're not going to be happy for long when you get where you want to go.
I've been reading the book Be Happy by Robert Holden, and he discusses the definition of true happiness and three different kinds of happiness.
There is pleasure which is the happiness that your body feels, there is circumstantial happiness which comes from being in ideal circumstances (like sitting on a beach somewhere), and there is the happiness that is at the core of your being.
This happiness is called joy, and it is the very essence of who you are.
Robert says that when we are constantly searching for happiness outside of ourselves, we are denying the joy of who we are.
We don't need to go anywhere or do anything to find this joy.
Nothing in your life has to change in order for you to experience joy.
You experience it by being yourself, by making the best of whatever situation you are in, and by appreciating who you are and what you've already created in your life.
I know that you've already created some crazy awesome things in your life, and it's time to bask in the deliciousness of everything that's in your life right now.
You deserve to be happy now- not at some point in the future when you achieve all of your goals.
You will enjoy all of the new things and experiences that come to you in the future if you allow yourself to be happy now.
If you want to make an appreciation list today to connect with your joy, feel free to do so or you can just go about your day finding things to appreciate about everyone and everything that you encounter.
You will quickly become happy now and happy on your way to wherever you're wanting to go.
